Final Post

Good evening! I have let yet another month go by with no blog posts. I haven't posted any pictures for two months. I simply don't have the time I once had to work two blogs. I am consolidating once more to one blog at http://areana81.spaces.live.com. As it is, I can hardly find time to post once a month or so on that one, but as things are quieting down at work...I hope to improve that.

I am still checking up on all you wonderful ladies and wanted to let you know I do have some more recent photos on the other blog (finally) so feel free to check it out. I hope to see y'all soon!

The end of the month...again

So, how did it get to be the end of the month again?! Well, we have been busy around here. For me it's been overtime, overtime, overtime at work. I don't think there are enough hours in the day to get it all done, but I am sure trying. Here's a quick, bulletin list of the going's on around here recently:

*  My baby is sitting all by himself! Five months old and sitting! Although, he doesn't like to stay that way long. He is trying his hardest to get up and walk. No crawling, just attempting to stand and walk. I am sooooo not ready for any of that!

* I have his room repainted. Alex's room is now a lighter blue. I need to make myself a template for the circles on his walls but otherwise, it's done! Yea! Now, on to Charis's room.

*  As we speak, that hubby of mine is out purchasing the supplies for our fence and stairs off our deck. Not to mention a new fridge and freezer, as well as a new lawn mower! Whew! I am so excited to be able to get to to work on some of those projects!

*  I am in the process of planning Charis's first-ever birthday party (and she'll be three!!). Okay, I have been a bit of a slacker in that department, but I'm trying. As I said, I have been working plenty of overtime and I am not sure how everything is going to turn out, but I am trying.

*  Anyway, it's been go, go, go, around here. I hope everyone is doing well!

Spring Madness!!

Well, it's been almost a month since I last posted! What happened to the time? I assure you that was unintentional. I have been checking all your blogs. I guess I just never had enough time to post anything on mine! Don't know how long I'll have to post tonight but I'll try to get something done. :)

One month. Whew! Well, let's see, my little man is four months old already. At his checkup he was 16 1/2 lbs and 26 1/2 inches long. He can roll over both ways and squeals just as loud as his big sister! I love the little giggles and huge grins when I catch him watching me. He seems to be getting on more of a schedule (for the moment) which has been nice.

Charis is talking quite a bit more and running around like crazy! She loves to put her little stuffed doggie in her stroller and push him around. He even woofs for  us! :) She's also been making drawings for me. I love it!

I've been busy with work. We have brought our outside security in-house (well, we go live on monday) which has been a major undertaking. Last week we also made changes to our customer service and changed our hours this week. So....I have been working overtime and this week changed my hours so I work the same as Kevin. Yea! It's been great, but busy.

When I am not at work, I am playing with my kids, cleaning house, and this last weekend, deciding on my fencing so we can get started on that. I am also in the process of getting bids for our basement so we can finish it! I have plans to paint the kids rooms on weekends and eventually maybe get to our room.

Anyway, I knew I wouldn't have much time and I was right! Alex is ready to play! Talk to y'all later!

Quick Update

Don't have much time to write, but I thought I would drop in to say hello! We are still busy, busy, busy here! Today the weather is absolutely beautiful so we are headed out for a nice, long walk after while! My little man is laying beside me, trying to get the colors on the computer screen. Too sweet. How quickly they are growing...*sigh*

Charis now refuses to sit on the little potty. She will ONLY sit on the big potty now. So, we went out and got a little ring to put in there for her to sit on as well as a step stool. Of course, the step stool seems to end up everywhere but the bathroom for some reason and she LOVES to wash her hands! She will pretend to go potty just to wash her hands again! Silly Girl. Anyway, I had to go find my little tomboy some dresses this week. What a challenge! We did find some though.

This weekend I am taking CHaris to Kansas City to see my uncle. She has never met him (I haven't seen him in over six years) and I am excited to see him. I wish Kevin and Alex could come too but Alex still isn't sleeping through the night consistently, so it's better we don't push it....for all of us. :)

Anyway. I hope to write more later. But I need to go for now. Take care!

Unexpected Day Off

Hello again! I apologize, I don't have any new pictures for you. I haven't had any time to take them, but I am trying to work on that. Anyway, I am home with Charis who once again has pink-eye and an ear infection. I don't know what else to do! I have already washed and sanitized everything I possibly can and no one we know has pink-eye! Oh well. I guess there is only so much I can control.

Anyway, here is a bulletin list of the going's on around our house recently:

1. Potty Training. Some days it feels like that's all we do, but it's working. She is now telling us when she has to go (for the most part) and will even get us when she wakes up in the morning to go on the potty! Yea! Today, she went on a big toilet at the grocery store, when she has previously been afraid of them. Progress. :)

2. Alexander is learning some new skills. He loves to grab at objects and move them between his hands. He spent quite a bit of time moving his burp cloth from one hand to the other this morning. He is also rolling from his back to his side, although he has yet to go all the way over. We now know he can scoot, but we haven't caught him at it yet. He just seems to move when we aren't looking.

3. Beautiful smiles and giggles from both my little ones. Alexander loves his big sister. His grin when he first woke up from a nap yesterday and saw her spoke volumes. She loves him too. If he gets fussy she gets right on the floor with him and sings, tickles, imitates, or just talks to him. He lights up immediately! oh how my heart bursts with joy when I watch the two of them together. I hope these times will help them build strong bonds for the future.

4. Growing. My little man is three months old and already 14 lbs 8 ounces. He's been wearing 6-9 month clothes for two weeks already! The funny thing is, he doesn't look that big. I guess he's just solidly built. I've been spending a lot of time cleaning out his closet to make room for larger clothes.

5. Funny story. I finally got all the ice off the driveway from december. As I was shoveling that last bit of clear slush from the driveway, an eight year old stops his bike, and says,"you know the snow isn't coming until tomorrow, don't you?" I was more than a little embarrassed and amused. I told my hubby he had better stay up on the driveway from now on. :)

Anyway, I still don't have time to write everything, but I will try to post again soon! I hope everyone is doing well!
