February 25 Unexpected Day OffHello again! I apologize, I don't have any new pictures for you. I haven't had any time to take them, but I am trying to work on that. Anyway, I am home with Charis who once again has pink-eye and an ear infection. I don't know what else to do! I have already washed and sanitized everything I possibly can and no one we know has pink-eye! Oh well. I guess there is only so much I can control.
Anyway, here is a bulletin list of the going's on around our house recently:
1. Potty Training. Some days it feels like that's all we do, but it's working. She is now telling us when she has to go (for the most part) and will even get us when she wakes up in the morning to go on the potty! Yea! Today, she went on a big toilet at the grocery store, when she has previously been afraid of them. Progress. :)
2. Alexander is learning some new skills. He loves to grab at objects and move them between his hands. He spent quite a bit of time moving his burp cloth from one hand to the other this morning. He is also rolling from his back to his side, although he has yet to go all the way over. We now know he can scoot, but we haven't caught him at it yet. He just seems to move when we aren't looking.
3. Beautiful smiles and giggles from both my little ones. Alexander loves his big sister. His grin when he first woke up from a nap yesterday and saw her spoke volumes. She loves him too. If he gets fussy she gets right on the floor with him and sings, tickles, imitates, or just talks to him. He lights up immediately! oh how my heart bursts with joy when I watch the two of them together. I hope these times will help them build strong bonds for the future.
4. Growing. My little man is three months old and already 14 lbs 8 ounces. He's been wearing 6-9 month clothes for two weeks already! The funny thing is, he doesn't look that big. I guess he's just solidly built. I've been spending a lot of time cleaning out his closet to make room for larger clothes.
5. Funny story. I finally got all the ice off the driveway from december. As I was shoveling that last bit of clear slush from the driveway, an eight year old stops his bike, and says,"you know the snow isn't coming until tomorrow, don't you?" I was more than a little embarrassed and amused. I told my hubby he had better stay up on the driveway from now on. :)
Anyway, I still don't have time to write everything, but I will try to post again soon! I hope everyone is doing well!
